A Relational Mapping Guide for World-Builders
Beloved, I’ve been down bad before. So have you. In this life, pain is the great equalizer.
It comes in many forms, shaped by our contexts, cultures, and lived experiences. No matter the scale, pain, trauma, and disappointment are part of the human journey. Each of us carries stories of survival and growth.
This week, we explore emotions as a landscape of living vibrations that pulse with wisdom. They are sacred messengers that alert us with gut feelings, "butterflies," tight chests, or tears that release when we least expect them. Many Black creatives are taught to avoid our feelings, to shame our emotions, and to see them ultimately as weakness rather than signals.
We ask often ourselves, “If I feel this way, what does that say about me?” We suppress, over-analyze, and sometimes spiritual-bypass our way out of emotional truth. But, emotions aren’t here to embarrass or expose us.
Emotions are the blueprint.

Understanding them is the foundation of personal transformation and embodied freedom. In Yoruba cosmology, the expression “As above, so below” carries significant meaning. As the planets shift, so do we. Our inner emotional landscape is in relationship with our environments, partnerships, and even the stars themselves. The macrocosm and microcosm are in constant reflection: planetary placements, climate, and weather patterns, all mirror the energetic fields that shape human affairs.
From emotions to global politics, we are always in relationship, always reflecting something deeper.
Here’s the astrological snapshot you’ve been looking for:
🌕 Full Moon in Capricorn – July 7 This lunation asks us to fully commit to our gifts, our growth, and our responsibilities. With the Moon in Capricorn and the Sun in Cancer, Spirit calls us to find divine balance between our inner world and outer work, between our home-life and our public purpose.
🌊 Neptune Retrograde in Aries – July 4 to December 10 Neptune, the planet of intuition, illusion, and mystery, enters a retrograde period. In Yoruba cosmology, Neptune corresponds to Olókun, the deep oceanic Orisha who governs secrets, the unconscious, and spiritual depth. During this retrograde, our perception may feel unclear and plans may stall. Have no fear — go inward and reconnect with your intuition.
⚡ Uranus enters Gemini – July 7 through 2033 Uranus, the planet of sudden change, revolution, and innovation, moves into Gemini — the sign of intellect, communication, and curiosity. This transit only happens once every 84 years. Expect foundational shifts in how we communicate, learn, and share information. It’s a portal of rapid acceleration, especially as global tensions rise. Don’t let the chaos distract you. This is an invitation to build new ecosystems of care, connection, and communication.
Tuning into our emotions is a radical act. If emotions are the blueprint, then relationships are the vehicle through which we activate our healing. How we feel shapes our perception of the world; our perception of the world influences the choices we make; our choices ultimately determine the quality of our lives and relationships.
This is Ecosystems of Loving Care, where we cultivate communities rooted in emotional truth, intentional relationships, and the wisdom of ancestral cosmology.
